Belle Room is a discussion space within which critical and intersectional perspectives on the design industry are presented and reflected upon. What do, for example, queer-feminist, decolonial and anti-classist practices look like, both within and against the design economy? The diverse formats aim to not only highlight the entanglements between design and systems of oppression, but seek to simultaneously uncover alternative practices that take into account and contest these power structures.

For now, this website functions as an archive of our talks only. As we are planning to expand to workshops and a reading group in the future, so will our website. For impressions of our events and to learn more about our speakers, follow our Instagram profile. If you like to get in touch send us an email. Many thanks, love and credits to all our collaborators and supporters without whom this project wouldn’t have been possible.
